Bean Family: Lifestyle Session


There’s something so special about photographing a family’s first session after welcoming a new baby—and the Bean family’s beach session in Saugatuck was one I’ll always remember. This was our first time photographing them as a family of four, and watching them settle into this new season together on the Lake Michigan shoreline was such a joy.


The Saugatuck beaches have long been one of my favorite backdrops for family photos—soft dunes, rolling waves, and that golden Michigan light that seems to linger forever. The girls were full of giggles as they chased the waterline, and their parents soaked in every moment. Sessions like this remind me why I love being a Saugatuck family photographer—documenting families as they grow year after year in a place that feels like summer itself.
