Rosemary: Newborn Session


There’s something so timeless about photographing a newborn at home — the quiet joy, the soft light, and the feeling of being surrounded by love in the very place this new chapter begins. Baby Rosemary’s in-home newborn session was filled with all of that and more.


From the moment I walked in, the home felt warm and inviting, with proud new parents and their sweet pup ready to show off their newest family member. Lifestyle newborn sessions like this one are some of my favorites because they capture authentic, everyday moments — snuggles on the couch, tiny fingers wrapped around mom’s hand, and even a curious dog peeking in to check on his new baby sister.


We spent time in Rosemary’s beautifully designed nursery, where soft tones and whimsical touches made for the perfect backdrop. A playful giraffe print rug anchored the room and added a touch of charm that reflected the family’s style perfectly. One of my favorite photos from the session features Baby Rosemary framed by her nursery’s tall giraffes — a gentle nod to growth and curiosity that felt symbolic of all that’s to come.


As the morning light streamed through the windows, we captured cozy portraits of the family together, as well as those intimate newborn details that tell such a special story — the delicate eyelashes, the tiny toes, and that peaceful way she rested in her parents’ arms. Their sweet dog even joined in for a few photos, completing the picture of this new family of four.


Every in-home newborn session is unique because it’s a reflection of a family’s love, their home, and the little details that make this fleeting season so special. It’s always an honor to preserve these moments before they slip into memories.
