Beckham: Baby's First Year


Capturing Beckham’s first year was such a joy — from his peaceful newborn session at home to his lively one-year portraits on the beautiful campus of the University of Notre Dame. Watching a family grow and documenting these milestones is one of my favorite parts of being a lifestyle family and milestone photographer.

Newborn Session

We started Beckham’s story with his in-home newborn session, surrounded by love from his mom, dad, and their sweet dog. Their home had the perfect natural light, so we focused most of the session in the living room, where clean walls and a glowing fireplace created a timeless and cozy backdrop.


The simplicity of the space allowed all attention to stay on Beckham — his tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, and the way his parents looked at him with pure awe. Including their dog made the session even more personal, a beautiful reminder of how family love expands in every direction.

One Year Session

A year later, we met again to celebrate Beckham turning one! This time, we took our session outdoors on the Notre Dame campus, one of the most iconic locations in the Midwest for family photography. We explored favorite spots like the Golden Dome, the Grotto, and the peaceful lakes, each providing its own beautiful light and textures.


Beckham’s personality shone throughout the session — curious, playful, and full of wonder. He toddled between his parents’ arms, smiled at the camera, and soaked up every bit of adventure. These photos beautifully marked the transition from the cozy early days at home to a joyful, confident toddler exploring the world.

Beckham’s two-part session perfectly captured the growth, love, and connection that define a baby’s first year. From intimate in-home newborn photos to joyful outdoor milestone portraits, this family now has a complete visual story to look back on — one that highlights both their personal space and their connection to a meaningful place like Notre Dame.
