FAQ
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH NOTRE DAME WEDDINGS?
Sadly no. As of the April 2024, I no longer photograph weddings on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. Notre Dame weddings will forever hold a special place in my heart, but now that I proudly sell wedding venue space for the Notre Dame Hospitality, I am no longer accepting Notre Dame weddings.
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
I do! My camera has already taken me from coast to coast. I would love to hear more about the location you are planning for your dream wedding. In fact, I have photographed in Chicago, Cape Cod, Destin, Cleveland, Miami & Philadelphia.
DO WE HAVE TO DO AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
Absolutely not. I understand that your time is valuable and it can be hard to travel for an engagement session. Although I do recommend engagement sessions, it’s not the only way I can get to know you.
HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS WILL I RECEIVE?
This will depend on the events of your day. I typically deliver around 100 images per hour. The more details and the more lively your party, the more images I deliver.
HOW MANY BLACK & WHITE IMAGES DO YOU DELIVER?
On average, I deliver around 20% black & white images. However, anything I deliver in black & white, there is a color copy as well.
HOW MUCH EDITING DO YOU DO ON YOUR PHOTOS?
My editing style can be described as true to life. I work endlessly throughout the wedding to keep the editing to a minimum. I will always choose color balances that are right for your skin tones, exposures that are true to how the day looked and contrasts that leave white white and blacks black.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
I am known for my lack of fear of the rain. Even in a downpour, I am still able to create one of a kind, beautiful images. During the wedding season, my clear umbrellas never leave my trunk. I am always ready for the unexpected.
CAN WE GIVE YOU A SHOT LIST OF A PINTEREST BOARD OF IDEAS I HAVE?
It is natural to want to put together a list of photos and even a visual of your vision. I am a visual person so I am more than happy to take a look at it. However, it should be noted that I only use this as a visual representation of your vision and won’t copy anything I see on it. My goal is always to capture images that are unique to you.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT DURING THE WEDDING PLANNING PROCESS?
As your photographer, I will make every effort to contribute to a seamless experience. Much of this comes down to full and easy communication with you, and partnering with your planner to coordinate as needed. I’ll build an organic photography timeline that is conducive to your experience, enhancing each moment rather than taking away from your enjoyment.
WILL YOU POSE OR DIRECT US WHILE YOU DOCUMENT OUR WEDDING?
My approach is a delicate mix of photojournalism and editorial, with an emphasis on the moment. I can sense when you’re carrying tension or feeling anxious, and will provide pointers to help you ease into the moment for naturally beautiful photos. You can expect careful guidance, simple posing, and encouragement to just be yourself.
